The lab welcome two new members, Ajay and Daphne. Ajay joined us from India where he did his thesis work on studying bacterial cytoskeleton proteins in fission yeast. Daphne came to Toledo from the other side of America, Brazil where she is a PhD student in the State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro (UENF). Daphne studies how the commonly used spice curcumin affects the calcium homeostasis in fission yeast. Lastly, we celebrate the passing of PhD qualifying exam by Pritha at the restaurant Rice Boulevard.
